EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon plans a celebration Tuesday of the new Willamette River Natural Area between campus and the water.
There'll be goats!
Goats? Totes.
The goats are hard at work contributing to vegetation management in the wild area along the banks of the Willamette River.
The management plan for the 24-acre natural area gives campus officials "more detailed guidance on landscape maintenance activities, habitat management, and restoration efforts to preserve and improve habitat values while accommodating compatible education, research, and recreation uses."
