Land Air Water—the Environmental Law Society at Oregon Law—has announced the dates and theme for the 42nd annual Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC). With "Cultivating Community" as its theme, this year's PIELC will take place at the University of Oregon from Friday, March 1 to Sunday, March 3, 2024. All are welcome!

SCR (Center for Science Communication Research) has just launched the fourth year of our SCR Small Grants Program. Up to $5,000 is available for faculty and postdoctoral fellows and $3,000 is available to graduate students. Applications are due no later than Friday, November 3rd by 5:00pm. Undergraduate student applications are up to $2,000 and will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Tuesday, October 31 at 5:00 AM PST, the European University Institute and its partners will host Professor Fakhri as he leads a workshop focused on "The right to food, climate change, and global governance." Professor Fakhri will discuss the ambiguous and at times marginal role of the right to food in climate change, biodiversity, and trade regimes and highlight related opportunities for global governance.
